JAMMU, Sept 2: About 50-60 people of Gujjar community today clashed with the police to prevent age-certainty test of a community girl by a medical board, in Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.
According to the reports, a police team today brought a girl of Gujjar community for age-certainty test after a High Court Order in a kidnapping case occurred under the jurisdiction of police station Kalakote.
However, the parents of the girl along with 50-60 other people of the community reached GMCH Jammu and create nuisance alleging that the girl brought for the test is not theirs and it is being done to shield the accused in the case.
The security officials in GMCH tried to control them but they become offensive, which compelled the security officials to do mild lathi charge.
Meanwhile, due to the mess created by the mob, the age-certainty test on the girl could not be conducted today.
