Gujjar Federation takes serious note of Advisory Board meeting

JAMMU, Apr 17: Gujjar Federation president Shokat Gujjar has taken serious note of the recent meeting held at State Advisory Board for development of Gujjar and Bakerwal in which achievements of Advisory Board.
The meeting claimed that Board has sanctioned Gujjar hostels for Poonch, Rajouri and Kulgam while the fact is that they were approved in 32nd meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah.
J&K Gujjar Federation appealed the Chief Minister to look into the advisory board functioning and make them accountable as in last over than years Gujjar and Bakerwal community has seen only the minutes of the meeting and nothing has emerged on ground.
He said the Gujjar community is eagerly looking at Chief Minister to look into the problems of the community which is 27 percent of state’s population.
He said special arrangements need to be provided to the Bakerwal community which moves towards the upper hills.
