GSTWA delegation meets Tribal Minister

SRINAGAR, June 22: A deputation of All J&K Gaddi/Sippi Tribe Welfare Association (GSTWA) met Tribal Affair Minister, Zulfkar  under the leadership of State president, Parveen Jaryal at Srinagar.
The deputation presented the charter of demands to the Minister and apprised him of their demands which included restarting the pre-matric scholarship to all the Gaddi/Sippi students and construction of hostels for Gaddi/Sippi students at Jammu, Kathua, Bani and Ramban for their post-matric education.
The Minister gave a patient hearing to the delegation and forwarded their demands immediately to the respective departments for redressal. The Minister assured to take up the matter with Government for formation of Gaddi/Sippi Advisory Board and re-induction and nomination of members of Gaddi/Sippi community for State and District Gujjar Backward Development Board.
Dev Raj, district president of the association for Kathua district, Rabinder, district secretary Doda and Ramesh Chander, chairman Ramban, were part of the delegation.
