JAMMU, Aug 12: The Government Railway Police (GRP) Jammu has recovered and seized heroin (chitta) from the possession of two drug peddlers today.
They have been identified as Abhishek Sharma, son of Anil Sharma, resident of Ward No. 6, Main Bazaar, Kathua and Bobby Chauhan, son of Balbir Singh, resident of Ward No. 12, Kathua. The heroin seized costs Rs. 4,00,000 in the market, police said.
Police said accordingly, FIR No. 06/2025 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station GRP Kathua and investigation initiated. This is the 23rd case of narcotics drug registered in GRP Jammu in the last 14 months.
