GRP Jammu arrests drug kingpin from Bihar

JAMMU, Oct 17: Government Railway Police (GRP) Jammu has arrested the main conspirator involved in transporting ganja from Bihar to Jammu in connection with FIR Number 23/2025 registered under the NDPS Act at Police Station GRP Jammu.
Police said the arrested accused has been identified as Dinesh Kumar, son of Janak Raj Yadu, resident of Ward Number 5, Rampur, Shamchand, Vaishali, Bihar. He allegedly hatched a conspiracy with the primary accused in the case to smuggle ganja into Jammu.
During investigation, GRP Jammu collected all relevant evidence on a scientific basis linking Dinesh Kumar to the racket. It also came to light that another case—FIR Number 231/2018 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act—is registered against him at Police Station Bahu Fort, Jammu.
Officials added that the Court has thrice rejected his bail applications. With his arrest, GRP Jammu has achieved a major success in dismantling an interstate network involved in the illegal drug trade.
