UDHAMPUR, July 28: A GREF employee succumbed to his burn injuries at Army Northern Command hospital here today.
As per reports, a mechanic working in GREF Department namely Ranjeet Singh, son of Balwinder Singh, received severe burn injuries after a fire broke down in the Banihal tunnel.
He was shifted to Army Northern Command hospital, where he failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries.
The body was shifted to district hospital Udhampur, where after autopsy the body was handed over to the officers of the GREF department.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at concerned police station and investigation started.
