JAMMU, Feb 12: A grand Gurmat Samagam will be organized on Sunday, February 15, at Gurudwara Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, Machine Domana, under the divine patronage of Sant Tejwant Singh, Mukhi Dera Sant Pura Danna, Nanak Nagar, in the sacred memory of Sant Gurbaksh Singh Danna.
Addressing a press conference, organizers said that the annual Samagam is held with deep devotion and spiritual fervour, strictly in accordance with the principles of Sikh Rehat Maryada. The event aims to propagate the divine Baani of Sri Guru Granth Sahib through soul-stirring Gurbani Kirtan and enlightening Katha Vichar by renowned Raagi Jathas and eminent Pracharaks from Jammu & Kashmir and Amritsar.
Prominent Raagi Jathas who will render Gurbani Kirtan include Baldev Singh (Hazuri Ragi, Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar), Jagtar Singh; Daljit Singh and Kuldeep Singh (from Srinagar).
The Parcharaks who will grace the Samagam are Gurmit Singh, Balwant Singh and Gupinder Singh, Incharge Parchar Mission, SGP Amritsar.
The Samagam is also expected to witness distinguished national and international Sangat participation. Among the prominent personalities arriving specially for the occasion are Maninderjeet Singh (Mannu) from Australia; Jeet Singh from Holland; and Jagjeet Singh, Vice Pradhan, along with Sangat from Rajasthan, Delhi, Patiala, Srinagar and Kanpur.
Other distinguished personalities who will grace the occasion include Manjit Singh, T P Singh, Tejinder Singh, Parveen Singh, Amreek Singh, Jatinder Singh (Lucky), Tajinder Singh (Kaku) and Charanjeet Singh.
The Sikh Sangat and all devotees have been requested to attend the Samagam along with their families to seek the divine blessings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib. The programme will be held from 10 AM to 4 PM.
