JAMMU, Oct 9: The grand finale of the ISEA Hackathon 2025 concluded at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu.
Organized under the Information Security Education Awareness (ISEA) initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, the hackathon focused on “Mobile Device and Application Security.”
The two-day finale, held on 7th–8th October 2025, brought together the top 10 teams selected from 85 registrations across colleges and institutes nationwide. These teams presented their innovative solutions in mobile device and application security, following multiple rounds of rigorous evaluation over the past six months.
The event was inaugurated on 6th October 2025 by Prof Manoj Singh Gaur, Director, IIT Jammu, who highlighted the critical importance of cybersecurity in the digital era and motivated young innovators to contribute toward secure and sustainable technological solutions for the nation.
The hackathon also coincided with IIT Jammu’s celebration of National Cyber Security Awareness Month (October), under the campaign “HAR GHAR CYBER RAKSHAK.”
The hackathon provided a platform for participants to demonstrate innovation, creativity, and problem-solving skills in the domain of mobile security. It also fostered collaboration between academia, industry experts, start-ups, and cybersecurity professionals.
During the finale, the top 10 teams presented their prototypes before an esteemed panel of judges, including Anil Kumar Saini, Senior Principal Scientist, CSIR-CEERI; Dr Dhiraj, Senior Principal Scientist, CSIR-CEERI, Pilani; Dr Samaresh Bera, Assistant Professor, IIT Jammu; Dr Shaifu Gupta, Assistant Professor, IIT Jammu; Dr Suman Banerjee, Assistant Professor, IIT Jammu and Dr Anil Saini, Senior Scientific Officer, IIT Jammu.
After a detailed evaluation of the innovative ideas and technical solutions presented, Team PulsePort, led by Kritish Nagyal, emerged as the winner of the ISEA Hackathon 2025. Team Cipher Sec secured the position of Runner-up, while Team Uranium & Dominators were declared the Second Runner-up. The winning teams were commended for their creativity, technical excellence, and practical approach toward solving real-world cybersecurity challenges.
IIT Jammu plans to support and collaborate with the participating teams and their start-ups in the future, further strengthening the ecosystem for cybersecurity innovation in India.
