Grains prices trade in tight range on some support

NEW DELHI, July 27: The wholesale grains market ended on a steady note today, after moving in a tight range on some support, and settled around previous levels.
Traders said adequate stocks position against restricted buying activity mainly kept grains prices steady.
The following were today’s quotations per quintal:
Wheat MP (deshi) 2,050-2,250, Wheat dara (for mills) 1,570-1,575, Chakki atta (delivery) 1,575-1,580 Atta Rajdhani (10 kg) 220, Shakti bhog (10 kg) 220, Roller flour mill 850-890 (50 kg), Maida 930-950 (50 kg) and Sooji 1010-1,040 (50kg).
Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 10,400, Shri Lal Mahal 10,000, Super Basmati Rice, 9,500, Basmati common new 7,600-7,700, Rice Pusa-(1121) new 7,700-7,800, Permal raw 2,225-2,275, Permal wand 2,300-2,400, Sela 3,300-3,350 and Rice IR-8- 1,900-1,925, Bajra 1,300-1,310, Jowar yellow 1,600-1,650, white 2,400-2,650, Maize 1,300-1,305, Barley 1,250-1,255, Rajasthan 1,080-1,090.
