Grahak Jagran Prog organised to boost consumer awarenes

JAMMU, Mar 30: The Akhil Bhartiya Grahak Panchayat (ABGP), Bahu Zila today organised a Grahak Jagran and Membership Drive Programme at Panch Mandir, Chhanni Himmat, aimed at strengthening consumer awareness and expanding its outreach.
The programme was effectively conducted under the supervision of Bahu Zila Secretary Ashok Khajuria and witnessed participation of several prominent functionaries and members of the organisation.
At the outset, Prant-level dignitaries including Prant President Thakur Dass Sharma, Prant Organising Secretary Rajeev Bhardwaj, National Executive Member Mohinder Dev Sharma and Jammu Vibhag President Manish Sabharwal were invited to the stage, marking the formal commencement of the event with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
The proceedings continued with the rendition of the Grahak Geet, which was collectively sung by Vandana Trehan, Shefali Gupta, Pooja Abrol and Rajni Sharma.
Among other key functionaries present on the occasion were Prant Vice-President Parshotam Abrol, Prant Office Administrator Randhir Singh Chib and Vivek Mahajan. The programme began with a welcome address by Bahu Zila President Hriday Chander Vaid, who outlined the objectives and mission of the organisation.
In his address, Prant Organising Secretary Rajeev Bhardwaj elaborated on various aspects of the organisation’s functioning, ongoing consumer-centric initiatives, and the expansion of the consumer awareness movement under ABGP. He also announced the formation of the Bahu Zila Working Committee.
Addressing the gathering, Prant President Thakur Dass Sharma spoke extensively on consumer rights and emphasised the importance of being an aware and responsible consumer in today’s market environment.
Jammu Vibhag President Manish Sabharwal, in his remarks, highlighted several cases where the organisation had successfully assisted consumers in resolving grievances and securing justice, underlining the practical impact of ABGP’s interventions.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Bahu Zila President Shri Hriday Chander Vaid.
On the occasion, Rajni Sharma was appointed as Vivhag Sangthan Mantri of Jammu Vivhag.
