Govt’s directive on IPRs

SRINAGAR, Sept 17: General Administration Department (GAD) today issued clear directions to the IAS, IPS and IFS officers regarding submission of Immoveable Property Returns.
Referring to the provisions of Rule 16(2) of the AIS (Conduct) Rules, 1968 along with the Government of India’s instructions, the GAD said that all the members of the Service should submit their Annual Immoveable Property Returns of the previous year latest by January 31, of the following year, to Establishment Officer, Government of India, DoPT, concerned Cadre Controlling Authority, General Administration Department (Vigilance) in the State Government and concerned Cadre Controlling Authority/Ministry/Department in the State Government.
The order said that vigilance clearance will be denied to an officer who fails to submit annual IPR latest by January 31 every year, adding “since grant of vigilance clearance has been linked to the timely submission of IPRs, it is imperative that the exact date of submission of IPR be correctly reflected by the officers in their IPRs”.
The copy of the GAD order has also been forwarded to Dr S K Sarkar, Additional Secretary (S&V), DoPT, Government of India, Principal Secretary, Home Department, Commissioner Secretary, Forest Department of State Government with the request to intimate the latest order to all the members of IPS and IFS and also to host it on the website of their respective department.
The copy has also been forwarded to Director General of Police, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Commissioner of Vigilance.
