KISHTWAR, Dec 16: A teacher of a Government school kidnapped and raped a class 8th student.
As per police sources, a Government teacher identified as Surinder Kumar, son of Bal Krishan of village Leoundi tehsil Padder district Kishtwar kidnapped a class 8th student and raped her. The accused threatened the girl of dire consequences if she revealed the incident to anyone.
After mustering courage, the girl narrated the ordeal to her family, who reported the matter to Police Station Atholi.
The girl has been handed over to family members after conducting medical examination at District Hospital Kishtwar.
A case under FIR Number 30/17 has been registered at Police Station Atholi and hunt has been launched to nab the rapist teacher.
