Srinagar, Sept 26: Government today took over hotel Royal Park in Gulmarg following the expiry of its long-standing rent agreement.

The property, originally owned by the Gulmarg Development Authority (GDA), had been leased to a local businessman nearly two decades ago. The agreement lapsed in June this year.
Today morning, the Chief Executive Officer of GDA, accompanied by a team, formally took possession of the hotel.
The move is part of the administration’s wider initiative to reclaim GDA-owned properties that were rented out in the past.
