KATHUA, Apr 26: Former MLC and senior Congress leader, Subash Gupta today reiterated that the stranded labourers, students, business persons and employees stuck in different parts across the country and abroad must be brought back to J&K.
Gupta emphasized the authorities to facilitate their return on priority basis; otherwise it may lead to complicated problems.
“The delay in the process of bringing back stranded people to their native places is questionable, deserved to be addressed, at the earliest,” he retreated, adding that when other State Governments could bring back their people, why not J&K administration adopts the same way in order to ensure that stranded people reach their homes.
“It is humanitarian issue, the authorities must address it on top precedence, keeping in view the simmering hot season and holy month of Ramzan,” Gupta said.
Gupta said that he could understand that those stranded within and outside the country are in great difficulty, and it was the responsibility of the authorities to frame policy for their early return after the lockdown was announced by the Prime Minister.
