Govt sanctions Rs 8.11 crore for upgradation of Girls HSS

JAMMU, Dec 9: Following continuous efforts of the local MLA, the Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department has accorded administrative approval for the upgradation and construction work at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, RS Pura, with a sanctioned cost of Rs 8.11 crore under the UT Capex Budget for the current financial year.
The approval has been issued following the Detailed Project Report (DPR) submitted by the Director of School Education, Jammu, and technically vetted by the Engineer-in-Chief, Public Works (R&B) Department. The project falls under the budget sector “Director School Education.”
According to Government order in this regard, the project will be executed strictly as per CPWD, PWD, MoRTH, NBC and ISI specifications. The administrative approval is subject to several technical and procedural conditions aimed at ensuring quality and financial transparency.
The implementing agency has been directed to strictly adhere to all conditions mentioned in the administrative approval in both letter and spirit. The work must be completed within the sanctioned cost and stipulated time frame.
The Government order has been issued with the approval of the competent authority and circulated to senior officials, including the Finance Department, PW(R&B) Department, Director School Education Jammu, and other concerned officers for necessary action. Pertinent to mention that MLA R S Pura, Dr Narinder Singh was continuously pursuing the matter in this regard and his efforts finally yielded the result with the Government sanctioning Rs 8.11 crore for upgradation of Govt Girls HSS RS Pura.
