SRINAGAR: The Government today released an amount of Rs 33 lakh for 245 medical cases in the State.
An official spokesman said here this afternoon that as a major relief to the patients suffering from serious ailments, the State Government today cleared cases of 245 persons and sanctioned an amount of Rs 33 lakh for patients suffering from heart, kidney, hepatitis and other serious ailments.
On the directions of the Chief Minister, a meeting of J&K Medical Aid Trust was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Secretary Finance, Navin Kumar Choudhary.
The Medical Aid Trust Scheme was started in 1989 and was re-constituted in year 2003. The scheme provides the much needed medical aid to various patients who are suffering from various diseases and belong to economically backward sections of the society. (AGENCIES)
