Govt kept out of purview of security related decisions: CM

JAMMU, Nov 13: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today said the elected Government, which is headed by him, has been kept completely out of the purview of any security related decisions.
He was responding to a question on a national English news channel tonight on recently unearthed white-collar terror module having roots in Kashmir.

“I haven’t heard from anybody. This is the problem; we have in Jammu and Kashmir. That’s why, I always said that this system of Government doesn’t work,” Omar said.
He said the elected Government has been kept completely out of the purview of any security related decisions.
“We are the ones left answering questions. Why something happens? Why something hasn’t happened? Why radicalization is taking place? Why white-collar terrorism is visible again?” the Chief Minister said.
He added: “If you are going to continue to operate in isolation, then I’m sorry, we are not the ones who are answerable for what happens then”.
However, he refused to respond to a question on Statehood saying this is not the time to speak on this.
“Today is not the time to talk on this,” he added.
