JAMMU, Sept 13 : Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) today alleged that the State Government failed in rehabilitation of migrant employees who volunteered themselves to serve in the Kashmir valley after 23 years.
“In case the suffering of newly appointed migrant employees under PM’s package will continued, we will be forced to restart the agitation”, YAIKS President, R K Bhat said here today while addressing a meeting of his organisation.
Bhat said that Government of India has sanctioned huge amount for the rehabilitation of Kashmiri migrant employees but nothing concrete is visible on the ground.
It is unfortunate that the Kashmir valley is having 100 per cent water usage in the world but still the employees residing in the Vessu Camp are facing water shortage, he said, adding for the last two years they are being provided water tank supply
He demanded the separate accommodation for the employees recruited under PM’s special package announced in April 2008.
In case Government will not act for redressal of the problems faced by the employees, it will be setback for further CBMs and how the Government is claiming tall for honorable return of the community, Bhat added.
He demanded permanent water to Vessu Camp instead of tanker supply, paying of salary in time, immediate allotment of transit accommodation to displaced employees, proper arrangements of accommodation for displaced employees working in Ganderbal district who were given accommodation at Mata Kherbhawani temporarily, release of relief benefits in favour of employees which is the part of package.
B K Bhat senior vice president YAIKS, Sunil Koul its vice president, Manoj Handoo and Ajay Safaya were among others present in the meeting.
