Govt forms panel to monitor online services under JKPSGA

JAMMU, July 17: Government today constituted a committee for monitoring online services on Auto Appeal System (AAS) to ensure hassle free, transparent and time bound delivery of public services under Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Guarantee Act, 2011.
Headed by the Principal Secretary, Jal Shakti Department, the committee shall regularly monitor the pendency of Public Services at the level of Designated Officers and appeals at the level of First and Second Appellate Authorities.
The committee shall also monitor district/Department wise appeals as well as Authority wise appeals. It shall ensure the time bound delivery of public services as well as disposal of Authority wise appeals under the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Guarantee Act, 2011 as per prescribed timelines.
The committee shall ensure imposition of penalties, as per provision of JKPSGA in case Designated Officers and Appellate Authorities fail to provide public service/dispose off appeals as per specified timelines.
Comprising Commissioner Secretary Information Technology department; Secretary , Public Grievances Department; Secretary, Department of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs and Special Secretary, GAD as the members, the committee shall submit its report on monthly basis to the Government.
