JAMMU, June 22:  Accusing the PDP-BJP Government of  “failing” on all fronts, the Pradesh Congress Committee president G A Mir  today said that it may “collapse” any time soon.
Speaking to the media-persons at the sidelines of Congress  Executive Committee meeting of Jammu province here today, the PCC chief   said,  “Where is the Government, it does not exist anywhere. It is the coalition between few people who joined hands for the lust of power. Though we want this Government to complete its tenure, but it will collapse at any time,” Mr Mir maintained.
The PCC chief said that  PDP and BJP which had made several promises to the people of the State before coming to power, have been exposed. They have set aside their promises for the sake of power.
“They have failed to fulfill even a single promise they had made with the people. They are more embroiled in controversies, rather than focusing on providing governance to the people,” he added.
Mir further said that the State and the Central Government had failed to address the issues of the people who lost everything in last year’s devastating floods.
“Compare what the UPA Government gave to the victims in Uttrakhand and the earthquake victims of Kashmir, but this Government has rubbed salt on the wounds of the flood victims,”  Mir said.
While referring to the meager  relief of  Rs 37 given to the farmers in Jammu areas, the PCC chief  said that the relief has exposed the Government and the people of the State were fed up with the hollow promises of it.

He criticized the Modi Govt  for its denial of rehabilitation package for the flood and rain affected people.
PCC Chief referred to the struggle for AIIMS in Jammu and said that party would continue its struggle till the demand of people is fulfilled. He conveyed his gratitude to the Central leadership of the party and also senior leaders of the State for their  cooperation and whole hearted support to further strengthen the party.
Earlier, PCC senior vice president Sham Lal Sharma gave a detailed account of ongoing membership drive in each block of Jammu province and expressed satisfaction over the interest shown by the workers and the people as a result there is tremendous response to the Congress membership drive.
