JAMMU, Aug 16: Several State and Central Government Departments, Public Sector Undertaking and different wings of paramilitary forces and State Police celebrated the Independence Day where the importance of this day was highlighted.
At Jammu and Kashmir House, New Delhi Additional Resident Commissioner, Yasha Mudgal unfurled the National Flag to mark celebrations of 72nd Independence Day. A contingent of Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police presented the guard of honor on the occasion. The ceremonial function was attended by all the officers and officials of Jammu and Kashmir State posted at New Delhi.
Toll Post Lakhanpur celebrated the 72nd Independence Day at Toll Post where Deputy Excise Commissioner, Ranjeet Singh hoisted the National Flag which was followed by guard of honor and recitation of the National Anthem by the Excise staff of Toll Post Lakhanpur.
Dulhasti Power Station celebrated the 72nd Independence Day with great enthusiasm at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Dulhasti, Kishtwar wherein a large number of employees, CISF Personnel, their family members, locals and school children participated. Yoginder Kotha, Head of the Power Station was the chief guest and he unfurled the National Tricolor.
Chenab Valley Power Projects (CVPP) celebrated the 72nd Independence Day on 15th August, 2018. A function in this regard was organised at CVPP Corporate Office Jammu where CVPP’s Managing Director, M.S Babu hoisted the National Flag. This was followed by National Anthem recitation.
NHPC Regional Office Jammu celebrated 72nd Independence Day where a large number of employees and CISF personnel participated. On this occasion, Chander Mohan, Executive Director NHPC hoisted the national flag. Speaking on the occasion, he lauded the services of martyrs of freedom.
Salal Power Station celebrated the 72nd Independence Day with zeal and enthusiasm at Ramlila Ground Jyotipuram wherein a large number of employees, CISF Personnel, family members of Power Station employees, school children and locals participated.
Himanshu Shekhar, General Manager, Salal Power Station was the chief guest who hoisted the National flag while Vanita Shekhar attended the Programme as Guest of Honour.
POWERGRID Samba Sub Station celebrated 72nd Independence Day with patriotism and enthusiasm at 400/220 Kv POWERGRID Substation at Samba. Ramesh Kumar, Chief Manager (I/C), was the chief guest and he unfurled the National Flag in presence of senior officials, employees, their families and children. He also highlighted the achievements of POWERGRID in last one year.
Income Tax Office, Udhampur celebrated Independence Day where the National Flag was unfurled. It was followed by National Anthem recitation by audience. The function was attended by Rajeev Gupta, President Income Tax Bar Association along with its members Kuldeep Sharma, Ashok Sharma and others.
Income Tax Office, Katra celebrated Independence Day where the National Flag was unfurled by Income Tax Officer Katra, Raj Pal Singh. This was followed by national anthem recitation.
Sub-Divisional Headquarters of Mahore in district Reasi celebrated 72nd Independence Day with full enthusiasm and gaiety. On this occasion, SDM Mahore, Yasin Choudhary unfurled the National Flag and took the salute. A bike rally was also taken out by the youth of Reasi to mark the celebrations.
Army organized a half marathon ‘Run for Freedom’ at Banihal to commemorate the Independence Day.
33 Bn, CRPF celebrated 72nd Independence Day at New Police Complex, Kotli, Bhaderwah. A. Padma Kumar, Commandant 33 Bn, CRPF unfurled the National Flag and took salute besides talking on importance of Independence Day.
PTTI Vijaypur celebrated 72th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. Ashok Kumar Sharma, SSP (Principal) PTTI Vijaypur presided over the function and hoisted the National Flag in the presence of Ram Singh Jamwal, Dy.SP (R&D), Mukesh Kumar, Dy.SP (Admn.), Karanjeet Singh, Dy.SP (Outdoor), Ajay Punjabi (Dy.SP Tech.), Rakesh Singh Sambyal, Dy.SP (Indoor), P.P Singh, Sr.PO, Headmaster GMS Thalori Des Raj, Headmaster GMS Bhudhwal Ajeet Lal, teachers of Govt Middle School Thalori and Budhal. Amar Jyoti, Renu Gupta, Renu Sharma, Nazia, Parveen Choudhary, Rinku Sharma along with students and others. Inspectors Puran Singh, Manoj Kumar Bali, Hemanshu Mahajan, Rajesh Kumar, Khushwant Singh, Ashok Singh, Yashpal Jamwal, Anil Sagar, Bhagwan Dass, Vikas Sharma, Neeraj Kumar, Ashok Pandita and other staff members and trainees were present at the occasion.
Government Railway Police (GRP) Katra celebrated 72nd Independence Day with full enthusiasm. On this occasion an impressive function was organised at GRP Lines Katra where Ranjit Singh Sambyal, SSP GRP Katra hoisted the National Flag and this was followed by singing of National Anthem by the officers and men of GRP Katra.
CRPF: All the establishments and Institutions of CRPF based in Jammu celebrated Independence Day with full vigor and enthusiasm. Tricolor was unfurled at all the locations. Marching contingent of CRPF secured first position in celebrations at Mini Parade Ground Jammu in which contingents of various Forces participated. In the programme organized at Group Centre Bantalab, K. Vijay Kumar, IGP, CRPF J&K Zone Hqr Jammu, after unfurling tricolor, appealed the Force personnel to keep up the good work.
CPWD office near Satwari Chowk celebrated Independence Day and National Flag was hoisted at the office.
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board celebrated the 72nd Independence Day with traditional fervour and patriotism at Shrine Board’s Sports Complex in Katra where Dheeraj Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of Shrine Board hoisted the National Flag and took salute of the impressive march-past by the contingents of CRPF, NCC Boys and Girls, Scouts and Guides, sports persons undergoing coaching at the Sports Complex besides the students of various educational institutions.
The CEO greeted the people on this occasion and recalled the sacrifices made by the great national leaders during the freedom struggle. CRPF; Neelam Khajuria, SDM, Katra; Naresh Singh, Additional SP, Katra and many more were also present on this occasion.
Airports Authority of India (AAI), Jammu celebrated Independence Day at Jammu Airport with great zeal and enthusiasm. Staff of AAI, Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF and various airlines participated in the celebrations. National Flag was hoisted by Airport Director, D.K Gautam after which he lauded the sacrifices of freedom fighters and the martyrs who laid their life for the country.
Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM) – formerly Regional Research Laboratory, Canal Road, Jammu celebrated 72nd Independence Day with great fervor and gaiety. A largely attended function was held in main lawn of the Institute where Dr. Ram A Vishwakarma, Director of the Institute was the chief guest and he unfurled the National Flag and took salute of the ceremonial march past by the security-men of CSIR-IIIM and the students of Regional Research Laboratory High School.
Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) J&K Regional Branch celebrated the Independence Day in the IIPA Complex by hosting the National Flag. The main attraction of the programme was the participation of the differently abled children of SAHYOG INDIA who jointly hoisted Tiranga with IIPA members. The flag hoisting ceremony was followed by National Anthem. Entire programme organized under the guidance of J.B.S Johar, Secretary, IIPA J&K Regional Branch and Ashwani Jojra, Founder SAHYOG INDIA.
At IDPS flag hoisting ceremony was performed by Sham Lal Choudhary, former Minister while Mrs Ritula Singh, Principal Shree Ram Universal School Jammu and Anil Choudhary, Sarpanch Samba along with others were also present.
Drivers and Workers Union (DWU) of State Motor Garages here celebrated the Independence Day at a function in their New Plot office where DWU President, S. Prabhjeet Singh Dutta unfurled the National Flag.
Dental College & Hospital, Ambphalla celebrated Independence Day where Medical Superintendent, Dr Renu Bhagat along with College Principal hoisted the National Flag.
