JAMMU, July 29: Kashmiri Hindu Conference (KHC) Executive body in its meeting here today held under the chairmanship of ML Thusoo expressed concern over go slow policy of the Government in implementation of PM’s employment package.
The meeting said that even after the four years of its announcement the PM’s reconstruction package has not been implemented in full. Whether the employment package, or scholarships to deserving, medical aid to patients or settlement of overaged unemployed youth or traders, keeping the matter pending is against the interests of the state and country as a whole.
The meeting reiterated that there is by and large consensus among the Kashmiri Hindus on return to a single township in Valley to avoid further exodus and the same needs immediate attention of the Central Government. Mr Thusoo said those members of community who are opposed to creation of this township want to keep the sword of un-certainty hanging.
P L Koul Badgami convener of KHC said resettlement of displaced Pandits in one township is need of the hour and its prolonging will prove counter productive. The social setup the life style of surrendered militants and their families differs in all the matters from KPs as such the township is justified. K L Ganjoo said dress code controversy is new factor and nudity in public is against the socio-ethical code of East. Pandits have never encouraged nudity in public.
