JAMMU, May 28: Government of Jammu and Kashmir has declared ‘lightning’ as ‘State Specific Disaster’ for the purpose of providing relief to the next of kin of three persons who had died last year due to lightning in Poonch district.
The accord of the Government came on the recommendations of the Divisional Commissioner Jammu for providing relief to next of kin of Mohd Ishaq son of Mohd Deen of lathoong tehsil (Surankote) and his wife Zarina Begum, besides Javed Hussain Shah son of Hakan Shah of Lassana, under para 3 (ii) of State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) Guidelines issued by MHA, vide number 33-5/2015 dated 30-05-2015.
All the three deceased persons had died due to lightning strike on 21-07-2020.
