JAMMU, Jan 15: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has constituted a Technical Appraisal Committee (TAC) to vet the Detailed Project Report for the implementation of the Integrated Mine Surveillance System in the Union Territory.
As per an order, the committee shall be headed by CEO, JaKeGA, with Director NIELIT, State Informatics Officer, NIC, J&K, and representatives from IIT Jammu to be nominated by Director IIT Jammu and NIT Srinagar to be nominated by Director NIT Srinagar, as Members and Under Secretary to the Government, Information Technology Department as the Member-Convener.
The committee has been given a 21 days’ time period to submit its report to the Information Technology Department with the Member-Convener directed to coordinate with all the members of the committee for timely convening all meeting(s) and to ensure timely appraisal/vetting of document(s).
The order further said that the committee has been tasked with examining and vetting the DPR procured/proposed for the project in a comprehensive manner, covering technical, financial, administrative, legal and operational aspects.
Further, it has been directed to assess whether the objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines and outcomes proposed in the DPR are clearly defined, realistic and aligned with the approved policy framework and project requirements.
Scrutinizing the technical architecture, specifications, design parameters, standards, interoperability, scalability, security provisions and sustainability aspects proposed in the DPR, ensuring adherence to prevailing Government standards are the other mandates of the committee, as per the order.
