Govt committed to extend all basic facilities: Kohli

SRINAGAR, Aug 1: Minister for Transport, Abdul Gani Kohli today visited Mujipathri, Gurwate and Basant Wudur of Khansahib Constituency and addressed public gatherings.
Many public deputations including the deputations of Gujjar Community met the Minister and highlighted various issues and sought his intervention in resolving them. The issues included resumption of SRTC bus service from Srinagar to Mujipathri, better transport service along all routes and extending other basic amenities to the areas which do not have such facilities.
Addressing the various public gatherings during his visit, the Minister reiterated that Government is committed to extend all basic facilities to the people and under several schemes and programmes of the Government, various departments are already working to ensure that basic amenities reach to all areas.
He said, “we have already taken several steps towards ensuring that administration remains at the beck and call of the people and works in an efficient, transparent and accountable manner.”
The Minister said Government has also taken initiatives in developing tourist infrastructure in District Budgam especially in the tourist areas of Yusmarg and Doodhpathri. He said that tourism related infrastructure will be developed at Doodhpathri in a planned manner and construction of various facilities will be taken up and completed at the earliest.
