Govt committed to address public issues on priority: DyCM

JAMMU, Feb 15: On the directives of Party High Command to increase public interaction with ministers and seek the feedback from the party activists, Dy. Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh conducted series of exhaustive meetings with the party district presidents, Mandal presidents, organizing secretaries and other BJP leaders from Kathua, Samba and Basholi districts to address the issues raised by activists and the public.
State BJP vice-president & district incharge, Parmod Kapahi, State general secretary, Dr. Narinder Singh, Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Prakash Ganga, Minister for Transport, Sunil Sharma, Minister of State for Education,  Culture, Priya Sethi, MLAs Dr. Davinder Kumar Manyal, Jeevan Lal and Kuldeep Raj, State secretary Adv. Vijay Sharma and other senior leaders were also present in these meetings.
Issues related to Motor Vehicle Department like initiating of new bus service, due stoppage at some places, effective provision of healthcare facilities, increasing pace of work for the construction of bunkers, matter of appropriate compensation to the border dwelling persons, ease of doing business in the Government departments, issue of shifting KV etc were raised. Ministers in a quick response, asked the concerned officers as well as issued written instructions to them to ensure immediate redressal of grievances.
Dr. Nirmal Singh asked the BJP activists to act as the eyes and ears of the party for the good governance. He stressed that the BJP stands for the welfare and the cause of the down-trodden and the neglected sections of the society. He said that the sole aim of this meeting is to provide an opportunity for direct interaction between ground leader and senior leaders so as to make sure that every public issue is addressed promptly.
Chander Prakash Ganga stressed for coordination between party and public dealing departments so that public issues are promptly taken care of. He prompted party leaders to approach him for any industry related issue and also promote self employment generation among youth.
Priya Sethi stressed on the need to focus on the quality education among the children.  She also focused on the initiatives taken for highlighting the tourism sector in the State.
Sunil Sharma deliberated on various policy matters in the Public Works Department as well as also on increasing rural revenues by various rural development schemes.
Dr. Narinder Singh conducted the proceedings of meetings. He said all the ministers will soon visit the various districts allotted to them for looking after various affairs on the ground level while taking effective measures to sort out the developmental issues.
Earlier district president BJP Kathua, Prem Nath Dogra demanded that the murder case of minor girl from Rassana in Hiranagar be handed over to CBI for an impartial investigation. He also stressed on immediate construction of bunkers along IB and LOC as the delay has led to public resentment. Dogra also stressed on releasing of compensation for the land lying other side of border fencing.
Additional Treasurer & district. Seh-Prahari Arvind Gupta, Additional media secretary & Seh-Prabhari, Rakesh Mahajan, district presidents Jangbir Singh and Prem Nath Dogra,  organizing secretaries Inderjit Sharma and Naresh Sharma, and others were among the prominent BJP leaders present in the meetings.
