JAMMU, June 1: Government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered the assigning of additional charges of several vacant posts of Executive Engineers (Mechanical) in the Jal Shakti Department to the jurisdictional Superintending Engineers (SEs).

The decision, formalized through Government Order Number 134-JK (JSD), comes in light of the ongoing vacancies in key divisions and will remain in effect until mechanical officers are made available by the Public Works (R&B) Department.
As per the order, the SE of the Irrigation and Flood Control (Mechanical) Circle, Srinagar, has been assigned the additional charge of Mechanical Irrigation Division Shadipora and Mechanical Irrigation Division Anantnag.
The SE of the PHE Circle (Mechanical) South Srinagar has been entrusted with the charge of PHE Mechanical Division Srinagar. Similarly, the SE of the PHE Circle (Mechanical) Urban Jammu will now also oversee PHE Mechanical South Division Jammu and PHE Mechanical North Division Jammu.
In addition, the SE of the PHE Circle (Mechanical) Rural Jammu has been assigned the charge of both the PHE Mechanical Division Udhampur and the PHE Mechanical Ground Water Drilling Division Jammu.
