JAMMU, Nov 25: The School Education Department today announced winter vacation schedule for all Government and recognized private schools in the Kashmir Division as well as the Winter Zone areas of Jammu Division.

According to the order in this regard, the vacations will be observed from November 26, 2025 to February 28, 2026 for Pre-primary (Balvatika) classes while for Classes 1st to 8th and 9th to 12th standard, the vacations will be observed from December 1, 2025 to 28 February 2026 and December 11, 2025 to February 22, 2026, respectively.

The order further mandates that all teaching faculty will remain available for academic activities during the vacation period. The teaching staff members are required to report back to their respective schools on February 20, 2026 to make arrangements for the reopening of schools.
The Government has warned that any violation or non-compliance of the schedule by heads of institutions or teaching staff will attract strict action under rules.
