JAMMU, Dec 6: Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department has announced the winter vacation schedule for Government and recognized private schools in Kashmir Division and the winter zone(s) of Jammu Division.

According to Government order issued by Principal Secretary to the Government, Suresh Kumar Gupta, for classes 1st to 5th, the vacations will be from 10th December 2024 to 28th February 2025 while class 6th to 12th will observe winter vacations from 16th December to 28th February 2025.
The teaching staff of Government high and higher secondary schools has been instructed to report to their respective headquarters from February 10, 2025, onwards to make preparatory arrangements for the upcoming board examinations of Classes 10th, 11th and 12th.
Additionally, all teachers are required to remain available during the vacation period to provide online guidance to students as needed. The directive aims to ensure a smooth academic transition and adequate support for students preparing for board examinations.
