JAMMU, Apr 13: Governor N. N. Vohra, today paid tributes to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar on his birth anniversary.
In a message, the Governor recalled that Dr. Ambedkar, a most outstanding legal luminary, had made a signal contribution to the framing of the Indian Constitution. He also recalled Dr. Ambedkar’s invaluable contributions towards nation building, particularly in regard to the uplift of the weaker sections of society.
Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti also paid glowing tributes to Bharat Ratna.
In her message, the Chief Minister recalled Dr. Ambedkar as a great statesman, social reformer and legal luminary who played a pivotal role in framing of the Indian Constitution. She also remembered Dr. Ambedkar’s contribution in upliftment of the needy, downtrodden and weaker sections of the society.
