POONCH, July 15: Goods worth over Rs 3.20 crore were traded at Chakkan-da-Bagh cross LoC point in district Poonch today.
Official sources said that for the first time, the trade has crossed Rs 3 crore mark in last few years. Today 25 trucks loaded with bananas, tamarind and chilies crossed over to that side and the value of goods was put at Rs 59.27 lakh. From PoK side ten trucks loaded with almonds, herbs and apples arrived here today. The value of goods was worth Rs 2.59 crore. He said that for the last few weeks, cross LoC trade has picked up and recent meeting of the traders of both sides has yield good results.
