RAJOURI, July 8: A mini-truck half- loaded with bundles of cloths (bajazi) and some confectionary items caught fire near Sher-i-Kashmir bridge here today.
Reports said that truck bearing registration No. JK02BC/ 6504 suddenly caught fire at around 3 pm today near slaughter house. The driver Pankaj Raina of Siot jumped out of the vehicle and escaped unhurt. The Fire tender was rushed to the spot but most of the goods worth lakhs had turned into ashes.
The cause of fire is not yet known. The police has taken cognizance of the matter. The truck driver had off loaded some of the goods in the market near Bus Stand and he was heading towards other destination in the town. It had brought goods from Jammu.
