Good Riddance

Sir,
Refer article ‘Good Riddance’ DE March 7, and news item ‘Non-serious approach’ rendered coalition’s last budget session as mere formality’ March 7. Both these items reveal that our elected representatives are not very much serious about redressing the grievances of people and debating the issues that confront the State and the nation.
Parliament and the J&K Legislative Assembly both these law making bodies witnessed unprecedented uproar, noisy scenes, disrupting and sloganeering.
As reported, even after reducing the session from 27 days  to 18 days in anticipation of  Model Code of Conduct (MCC), much business was not transacted. It is dismaying to note that senior most legislators play traunt and left the business to others. The absence of seniors can impact the conduct of  juniors in coming times. They would also like to walk  on the foot print of elders and not take business seriously.
Yours etc….
