JAMMU, June 28: Unidentified thieves struck a house in Channi Rama area here and decamped with gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 8 lakh and Rs 15000 in cash.
The incident happened on Friday when the family members of Chunni Lal of Channi Rama were sleeping in the house.
Taking advantage of the situation, the thieves broke opened the doors and lockers of the house and ran away with the gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 8 lakhs and Rs 15000 in cash.
On the complaint of the owner of the house, Chunni Ram, police have registered a case and started further investigation into the matter.
