JAMMU, Apr 25: The Post Graduate Department of Community Medicine, Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu successfully concluded a two-day workshop on Research Methodology, marking the fourth installment in an ongoing series aimed at strengthening research competencies among postgraduate scholars.
A total of 50 PG scholars from diverse disciplines actively participated in the workshop, which was designed to enhance their understanding and application of research techniques in the medical field.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr Ashutosh Gupta, Principal and Dean, GMC Jammu, who emphasized the importance of robust research skills for advancing medical science and improving patient care.
The event featured a distinguished panel of guest faculty including Dr Sunil K Raina, Professor and Head, Community Medicine, Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College (RPGMC) Tanda, Himachal Pradesh; Dr Richa Mahajan, Associate Professor, Community Medicine, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence (SMVDIME), Kakryal; and Dr Anuj Kapoor, Assistant Professor, Community Medicine, SMVDIME, Kakryal.
Their expert insights and interactive sessions added significant value to the academic proceedings. Faculty members from GMC Jammu also served as key resource persons during the workshop. These included Dr Rajiv Kumar Gupta, Professor and Head, Community Medicine; Dr Rashmi K Gupta, Associate Professor, Community Medicine; Dr Dev Raj, Assistant Professor, Community Medicine; and Dr Tasneef Banoo, Assistant Professor, Community Medicine. Their sessions covered a wide range of topics essential to research methodology, offering participants both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
The workshop concluded with a valedictory session appreciating the enthusiastic participation of the scholars and the dedicated efforts of the faculty.
