JAMMU, Jan 27: Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Department, PG Department of Orthopaedics, Government Medical College Jammu organised one day long Conference titled “POTCON” in the Medical College Auditorium.
The Conference was inaugurated by Dr. Ashutosh Gupta, Principal GMC, Jammu. Under the guidance of Organising Chairman Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, HoD, Orthopaedics and Dr. Abdul Gani, Prof and Head of Unit Orthopaedics, the Conference was organised by organising secretary Dr. Deepika Saroj and others Dr. Basant Seyal, Dr. Rakesh Sharma, Dr. Sonia Gupta, Dr. Shilpa Gupta, Dr. Adil Malik, Dr. Sonal Chib, Dr. Ruchi Sharma, Dr. Vipan Thakur, Dr. Sunil Dogra, Dr. Jaikishan Singh Dr Harshika Kar, Dr. Deepali Gupta and Dr. Imran.
The Conference saw impressive participation of experts, practitioners and academicians of eminence and repute from across the country who made the participants aware of the recent advances and techniques being adopted in this field for effective patient care.
The Conference also saw experts from both the disciplines speaking at length about the collaborative models for promoting holistic healing. Each speaker dwelt at length about cardiopulmonary, splintage, virtual rehabilitation, latest developments in the field of sports physiotherapy and occupational therapy.
Technical sessions and panel discussions on the evolving themes and different areas saw brainstorming amongst the panellists and provided ideal platform for delegates, clinicians and students to refresh their knowledge and update them about the recent trends.
All the participants underscored the importance of organising more such conferences in the future for honing their skill set for gaining proficiency in their craft.
