Global Solace solemnizes Samohik Yagnopavit ceremony

JAMMU, Mar 29: Global Solace a socio religious organization conducted the Samohik Yagneopavit ceremony (wearing of sacred thread) of 11 Hindu boys and one girl at Mirzakak Ashram, Nagrota.
The religious function was held for two days in which large number of people across Jammu participated to bless the children.
Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Dr Arvind Karwani was the chief guest on the occasion. In his address he urged the community people to take pride in holding such socio-religious activities to keep the ancient Hindu culture and traditions alive. He said Yagnopavit ceremony is one of the sacred Sankars in Kashmiri Pandit culture and complimented organizers for organizing such functions.
Swami Kumar Ji of Geeta Satsang Ashram, Muthi also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the significance of Yagnopavit Sanaskar. He also blessed the children on the occasion.
Others who attended the function included Dr. Agnishekhar, B L Saraf, retired District and Session Judge, Prof. A N Sadhoo, Cheetan Wanchoo, Rajeev Pandita, Sunil Thusu (KMECT), Kiran Wattal, former Commissioner JMC, M K Yogi, Jatin Bhat, Sweety Koul, Kamalesh Tufchi , R K Munshi and all other social activists. B.L. Bhat Chairman Global Solace and Roshan Lal Bhat its general secretary, B L DHAR Piaray Lal Pandita (Lolabi) and team of Global Solace complimented all contributors. They also paid tributes to late Pintoo Ji Pandita founder member of the Global Solace who had started this initiative.
The devotees were served Prashad after Puranahuti.
