JAMMU, Feb 22: A young girl today made an abortive attempt on her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Peer Mitha.
According to a police spokesperson, the girl has been identified as Muskan (18) daughter of Nazir Ahmed, a resident of Peer Mitha. In unconscious condition, the family members shifted her to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where her condition was stated to be stable, he added.
However, it was not known why she took this extreme step. The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter.
