REASI, Apr 25: A teenaged girl attempted suicide by cutting her veins and then hanging herself at Bhimgarh Fort in Reasi today.
However, timely action by Police saved the girl, who was rushed to District Hospital Reasi and her condition was stated to be stable.
The girl, identified as Nagita of Chhattisgarh, presently putting up in Reasi with her parents, was allegedly snubbed by her elder brother over some minor issue following which she attempted suicide. A cop on duty in Police picket at Bhimgarh Fort, spotted the girl hanging from tree and informed the matter to Police Station. Police cut the rope and shifted the girl to hospital.
