JAMMU, Oct 26: Ghagwal police arrested a bovine smuggler and rescued five bovine animals during a special naka which was laid on the directives of SSP Samba, Dr Koshal Sharma at border road Rajpura.
A police party of P/S Ghagwal headed by SI, Bansi Lal, SHO Ghagwal during surprise naka vehicle checking at border road Rajpura, intercepted a Bolero Pick-Up bearing Registration No. JK21E-2233 which was coming from Kathua side through border road. During checking of the vehicle, five bovines were found laden inside the vehicle which were being transported illegally without any permission. The accused driver of the vehicle namely Ramneek Singh, son of Harnik Singh of Ward No. 03, RS Pura was arrested and vehicle seized on spot.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 140/2018 U/S 188/RPC, 2/3 PCA Act, has been registered at P/S Ghagwal and investigation started.
