SAMBA, May 18: Ghagwal police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 170 intoxicant capsules from his possession.
A police party of P/S Ghagwal headed by Inspector, Rajeev Kumar, SHO Ghagwal under the supervision of Deepak Digra, Dy. SP Hqrs Samba while performing routine Vehicle checking at Naka NH Tapyal intercepted a person who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During frisking of the said person, 170 Nos. of intoxicant capsules (Paravon Spas) were recovered from his pocket which were wrapped in black polythene. The accused persons identified as Manoj Kumar S/o Tarseem Lal R/o Ward No. 1 Pakki Mandi, Samba was arrested on the spot and contraband item was also seized.
In this regard a case FIR No. 47/2019 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Ghagwal and investigation is started.
