JAMMU, Dec 29: The Science Club of GGM Science College, in collaboration with the Department of Zoology, organized a vibrant Inter-College Science Quiz Competition today under the patronage of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta. The event was coordinated by the Science Club under the convenership of Dr Brinder Kumar, who welcomed guests and participants. Prof Bal Krishan introduced the objectives and academic relevance of the competition.
Teams from GDC RS Pura, Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar, MAM College and GGM Science College competed in four rounds-Preliminary, Visual, Rapid Fire and Buzzer-displaying strong scientific knowledge and competitive spirit. The judging panel comprised Prof Preeti Gupta, Dr Sheetu Raina and Dr Devi Dass.
Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar won first prize, followed by GGM Science College and MAM College. In his presidential address, Prof. Gupta appreciated the organizers, encouraged students, and distributed prizes and certificates.
The programme witnessed active involvement of Science Club members and faculty of department of zoology including Dr Rahul Kait (HOD Zoology), Dr Rohit Bhardwaj, Prof Sushil Kumar, Dr Ram Krishan, Prof Mehnaz Bano, Dr Sumaira Bano, Dr Sapna Jangral, Dr Majid Hassan, Dr S. Mujtaba and others.
