JAMMU, May 10: Gandhi Global Family (GGF) J&K here today organized third blood donation camp at Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu which was held under the supervision of Dr. S.P Varma, president GGF J&K and Dr. Mitali Sharma, Assistant Professor GMC Jammu in the presence of Dr. Ashutosh Gupta, Principal GMC Jammu and Dr. Sanjogita Soodan, Deputy Medical Superintendent, Super Speciality Hospital Jammu.
This initiative was aimed to promote voluntary blood donation in the wake of ongoing cross-border firing along the LoC and International Border in J&K.
Dr. Alka Sharma, president, GGF Jammu Women was the first to donate blood at the camp and she was followed by other members including Dr. Nitan Sharma, Ankush Varma and many other volunteers.
The camp was graced by the presence of Dr. Robert Robin Gill, Dr. Dinesh Gupta, Ch. Mumtaz Ahmad Kabir, Daniel Nair, Dr. Parvinder Kaur, Punit Kaur, Amit Varma and Manish Joshi.
GGF’s first camp was held in Srinagar while the second was held at GMC Rajouri.
