General Category People’s Front discusses challenges because of reservation

JAMMU, Dec 27: A meeting of General Category People’s Front was held under the chairmanship of Jadish Dogra, the Vice Chairman of the Front, here today and discussed in detail the challenges being faced by the General Category people and the country.
Addressing the meeting, Yash Paul Sharma, President of the Front alleged, that the Government had been promoting casteism and communalism through its reservation policy. “If reservation on the basis of caste is not done away with, it will ruin the nation sooner or later,” he warned and added the reservation has led to inefficiency and second rated standards in jobs and admissions and ended efficiency in the Govt. system.
Som Nath Sharma, Gen. Secretary of the Front, denounced derogatory remarks against Brahmin girls by an IAS ranked officer and sought stern action against him.
Jadish Dogra, Vice Chairman of the Front, in his presidential address, expressed serious dismay over the delay in addressing the issue of MBBS admissions in Shri Vaishno Devi University funded by the Shrine Board.
