JAMMU, Dec 8: All J&K Graduate Engineers Association (Civil), all cadres (JE to CE) during a meeting of the Executive Committee held here today discussed issues of the Civil Engineers in detail.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of GEASSOC president, Gopal Sharma (state president). During the meeting Mohammad Iqbal Malik took oath as state general secretary of GEASSOC.
The meeting deliberated on several important matters concerning engineers across cadres.
The main issues included- ensuring timely promotions of engineers at all levels by filling up vacant posts in R&B and Jal Shakti Department, especially vacancies of AEEs; regularisation of services of engineers across all cadres; issuance of the SRO for the Assured Career Progression (ACP) Scheme; referral of vacant JE and AE posts to JKSSRB/JKPSC for timely recruitment and improvement in posting policies and overall career growth mechanisms.
Association resolved to pursue these issues vigorously and consistently in a fair, transparent, and democratic manner.
Gandeep Pargal and Mohd Taj Chowdhary shared valuable insights and suggestions for advancing these matters. The house also appreciated the recent promotions made in R&B as well as the Jal Shakti Department. It was further decided that the Association will hold weekly meetings after office hours to ensure regular follow-ups and speedy progress on all pending issues.
The meeting was attended by several members of the Advisory Committee including – Gandeep Pargal, . Mohd Taj, Ashish Bhasin, Suresh Khajuria, Vikram Dogra, and Pooja Wazir. Mujib Tak (Chief Patron), Rahat Gupta, Kulbhushan Bhau, and Brahamjoti Sharma joined the deliberations through online mode.
A large number of engineers from various departments-including R&B, Jal Shakti, PHC, JMC, and RDD-attended the meeting, marking it a significant gathering.
