JAMMU, Sept 7: In order to extend relief and support to families severely affected by the devastating flash floods, a team from Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust (GDCT) today visited Gujjar Basti, Karnaili Chack area in Belicharana.
The team was led by Arshad Ali Choudhary, Chairman of GDCT.
During their visit, the members of trust distributed essential food items among 80 flood-hit families, irrespective of caste, creed or religion, as a gesture of solidarity and compassion.
On this occasion, a special medical check-up camp was also organized under the supervision of senior trustee and leading surgeon Dr Suleman Choudhary, which provided much-needed healthcare services to the victims.
The GDCT gratefully acknowledges the contributions of all Trustees and well-wishers who came forward in this noble cause of supporting the poor and needy during this crucial time.
Among others who accompanied the Chairman included Shah Mohammad Choudhary, Ch Bashir Ahmed Noon, Ch Mohammad Amin, Arfaz Deng and members of the civil society.
