JAMMU, Jan 18: A delegation from Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust (GDCT), led by Patron-in-Chief Haji Abdul Hamid Choudhary, Chairman Arshad Ali Choudhary and General Secretary Er. Mohammad Sadiq Azad met with Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir (UT), Omar Abdullah, to congratulate him on his recent election victory and appointment as Chief Minister. The delegation took the opportunity to discuss key issues related to the Trust and the Gujjar-Bakerwal community.
The delegation apprised the Chief Minister of the Trust’s ongoing initiatives aimed at the socio-economic, educational, and cultural upliftment of the Gujjar-Bakerwal community. They also highlighted the challenges the community faces in Jammu and Kashmir. In response, the Chief Minister assured the delegation of his full support for the community’s development.
Abdullah acknowledged the significant contributions of GDCT under the leadership of Haji Abdul Hamid Choudhary and his team. He appreciated their efforts towards the welfare of the Gujjar-Bakerwal community and reiterated his commitment to supporting marginalized communities in the region. The delegation also extended an invitation to the Chief Minister to visit GDCT and interact with the trustees and students.
