BASOHLI, Jan 21: To aware the students about Common Entrance Test (CET) of various professional examinations, Govt Degree College Basohli successfully organised an OMR based mock test for the students of different Higher Secondary Schools of district Kathua, here today.
In this event, students from about 14 Higher Secondary schools from different tehsils like, Basohli, Mahanpur, Billawar etc of Kathua district participated.
The main objective of conducting such entrance test was to aware the students from far flung areas about the Common Entrance Test (CET) of various professional examinations such as NEET, JEE, Nursing etc.
This event was organised by GDC Basohli under the leadership of its Principal Dr Sunil Gupta, who used his vast experience of conducting such Entrance Examinations for different professional courses while he was Controller of Examination J&K BOPEE before joining this College as the Principal. Dr Sunil Gupta extended his gratitude to Chief Education Officer, Kathua & Principals of various Higher Secondary Schools for their cooperation in making this exercise a great success.
It is pertinent to mention here that this initiative was the first of its kind taken by any college in the entire Jammu province & was totally free of cost. The students participated with great enthusiasm & requested the authorities to organise such events in nearer future also.
