JAMMU, Mar 12: BJP J&K spokesperson and Convenor International Affairs, Gaurav Gupta today said that Iran’s decision to allow India-flagged vessels to pass through the strategically critical Strait of Hormuz is a major diplomatic triumph for India.
He said that amid escalating tensions in the Gulf region involving Iran, Israel and the United States, the safe passage granted to Indian oil tankers such as MT Pushpak and MT Parimal reflects India’s rising global stature and credibility on the world stage.
The BJP leader noted that the development came after constructive and proactive discussions between External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, which safeguarded India’s strategic and energy interests despite the volatile geopolitical scenario.
“India commands respect globally. The decisive leadership of PM Modi combined with the strategic diplomacy of Dr. Jaishankar has ensured that India’s national and economic interests remain fully secure, even in the most complex international crisis,” he maintained.
