Gaurav hits back at Pakistan over threats against RSS

JAMMU, Apr 4: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson and convenor for international affairs Gaurav Gupta has strongly criticised Pakistan over a recent statement by its Defence Minister allegedly threatening to target camps of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
Reacting sharply, Gupta termed the remarks “irresponsible and provocative,” saying they reflect desperation and an attempt to divert attention from internal issues.
He said India has always responded firmly to any provocation and warned that any misadventure would invite serious consequences.
Referring to past actions, Gupta said India has demonstrated both restraint and strength, citing the surgical strikes of 2016 and the Balakot airstrike of 2019 as examples.
He asserted that India’s armed forces are fully capable and prepared to safeguard the country’s sovereignty and integrity.
Taking a dig at Pakistan’s internal situation, he said such statements are often made to shift focus from economic and political instability.
He also urged the international community to take note of such threats, adding that India remains vigilant and any act of aggression will be met with a strong and appropriate response.
